Healing Through Art: Mental Health Awareness Exhibit- Take #2
Beginning December 4, 2020
The submission period for this exhibit is now closed. The Healing Through Art: Mental Health Awareness Exhibit is co-sponsored by Open Door Art Studio and the Greenville Museum of Art. In this exhibit artists of all ages will showcase work reflecting their mental health experiences broadly defined, both challenges and resiliency. Topics might include experiences with substance abuse and/or recovery, illness, loss and grief, loneliness, disconnectedness, and aging concerns.
Registered participants should drop off their artwork at the Greenville Museum of Arts’ main building between November 23 and December 1 (except for Thanksgiving Day). Please call the museum before arriving in order to make sure someone is there to assist you. If no one answers, please call Darlene Williams at 252-366-4756.
This exhibit is free and open to the public, however donations will be accepted and used to fund scholarships for mental health services available at the East Carolina University Family Therapy Clinic and research that helps advance the care and treatments for addressing mental health issues.
